Due diligence on an international energy company
350 recently undertook due diligence for an investment bank seeking to invest in a major international energy company with a large portfolio of conventional and renewable energy assets. Our work included a review of the conventional and biomass power generating division as well as health, safety and environmental reviews of its gas and electricity distribution network. The investment is reported to be worth approximately US$ 2Bn.
Feasibility Study for utility scale PV developments
350 recently undertook feasibility studies followed by G59 Grid Connection assessments for a series of potential PV investments in the Doncaster region. Project scale ranged from 300kWp to 2.5MWp and the work included both financial and technical appraisal with outputs that included a risk register and option study with recommendations.
Green Investment Bank
350 has been appointed to a panel of consultants that will advise the Green Investment Bank on environmental and market aspects of their potential investments in sustainable projects. The Green Investment Bank is a UK Government sponsored bank with access to 3.8Bn of capital and a remit to help the UK achieve its climate change objectives.
Energy efficiency study for warehouse
350 reviewed the energy performance of a large warehouse business based in Yorkshire. A range of potential improvements were identified with payback periods of between 1 and 5 years. We also advised on costs, return and technical viability of wind, biomass and solar PV development options for the site.
Pre-acquisition due diligence
350’s consultants have advised on hundreds of due diligence projects, including the acquisition of a US based hydro power business and the acquisition of a biomass to power generating business by a UK listed energy company.
350’s consultants advised on the potential acquisition of a large biomass processing project. The project would use new technology to process biomass prior to transport to power stations in order to improve product consistency and transport economics.
Micro hydro feasibility study
350 Energy’s Chartered Civil Engineer undertook a pre- feasibility assessment of an upland hydro stream in Wales. The target stream had a catchment of approximately 3 square km and with the site available to our client it would be able to generate £3,000 worth of electricity per year. The next stage of the project will be environmental studies and the planning application.
